Our goal is to use advances in technology to enhance the teaching and
learning of genetics. In particular, we strive to increase the understanding
of both basic genetic concepts and problem-solving techniques through
interactive multi-media materials. Using our more than thirty years of
experience teaching genetics, we have broken down problems into many steps,
each of which has feedback for predictable wrong answers. Our problems
incorporate a variety of interactions with animations and tutorials where
appropriate. These materials are designed to augment rather than replace
textbooks and lectures. Our hope is to make significant strides in educating
a broader population of students as understanding genetics becomes more
critical to many aspects of our lives.
