Frederic Chopin
Chopin wrote almost all his music for just one instrument: the piano. His music is known not just for its beauty, but also for being difficult to play!
He was just 7 years old when his first piece of music was published. Chopin grew up in wartime Poland, and was always a sensitive child. His music reflects his delicate nature. As an adult, he moved to Paris, but he always missed Poland, and continued to use Polish melodies in his music. When he left Poland, he took a cup of Polish soil with him so he would never be far from his homeland.
Chopin was a handsome man, but rather pale and thin and never very healthy or strong. When he died at the young age of just 39, his cup of Polish dirt was sprinkled on his grave. Today, Frederic Chopin is remembered as the "poet of the piano" for the beautiful music he composed and played.
Simplicity is the highest goal,
achievable when you have
overcome all difficulties.
