Authorware Libraries: Not for Every Program!
The Authorware Library is a device that is used for "holding" graphics , some digital movies, or sounds that are going to be used several times in a program. (That "some" will be explained later in this series.)
The Library serves as a storage area for Display, Movie or Sound Icons that are to be used several times. The actual Authorware program will NOT contain those Icons: it will just contain LINKS to them. By so doing, the files are saved only once rather than many times, sometimes providing incredible program size decreases! We'll demonstrate this only for Display Icons, although it works the same for the others!
If you want to use this data-saving feature, when you first realize that you'll be reusing a graphic image, animation or sound file, perform the steps described in the following scenario.
