This Immersive Mermaid Museum Is Getting Us Excited for Freeform’s Siren

Mermaids are as real as they can get at this Mermaid Museum! To celebrate the premiere of Freeform’s series Siren on March 29, Freeform and PopSugar teamed up to create this immersive exhibit dedicated to the mythological creatures, open from March 22-25 in the heart of Hollywood. It features a live mermaid, speakeasy-inspired fishing store, unique photo ops, and a 360-degree underwater immersive experience. So basically, it’s pretty much a dream come true.

The Siren squad looks like they’re having a blast!

To show some love to all sea creatures, Freeform will use the exhibition as an opportunity to make a change for the better. A donation will be made to Heal the Bay to help keep Los Angeles’ coastal waters and watersheds safe, healthy, and clean. And what’s more, the live mermaid at the exhibit will be swimming in a custom-built tank filled with 4,800 gallons of water, which, at the end of the exhibition, will be donated to TreePeople and used to water the landscape in Los Angeles.

We’re so excited to see more! Siren is set in Bristol Cove, and legend says that the coastal town was once home to mermaids. When a mysterious girl (Eline Powell) shows up, Marine biologists Ben (Alex Roe) and Maddie (Fola Evans-Akingbola) work together to find answers behind this enigma, which may lie in the deep sea.

Siren premieres on March 29—aka International Mermaid Day—with a special two-hour event. We’ll be watching!
