The hammer buttons below link to examples of how FutureSplash
Animator movies, graphics and interactive interfaces can be
used in HTML pages. View these pages with your browser to get
ideas. Examine the FutureSplash Animator files and the
HTML source pages to learn how these samples were built. Visit
the FutureWave Software
web site for more samples and the latest tips.
Family Trip - This simple page has a little bit
of text and a looping animation. This shows the basics of placing
a FutureSplash movie on a web page. Examine the HTML source to see
how it works. This page is written to work well with any browser.
Biography Interface - This is a biographical page
of the author. It is a good example of using frames to create an
interactive experience. Examine these pages closely if you want to
use FutureSplash buttons with frames. These pages require a
browser that supports frames and Netscape Plug-ins or ActiveX.
Note that this page itself also provides a good example of how to use
FutureSplash with HTML. For example, the hammer buttons animate if FutureSplash
Player is available but for older browsers a simple GIF file is provided.
The Basic Workflow
Below is a workflow diagram that you can reference in order to understand
how to put FutureSplash movies into HTML pages. This will help you keep
track of your files as you create them. It is best to keep your
FutureSplash Animator files in a separate folder since these files
do not need to be copied to the web server.
It is good strategy to have all the FutureSplash Movie (.SPL) files in
the same directory as the HTML page they are used on. This is very
important if you use relative URLs as actions in your FutureSplash
Player movies.
