Installing the Macintosh 68k PhotoBubble Viewer

1. We recommend reading through these instructions entirely, or printing them, before you download the viewer.

2. To achieve the very best image quality we recommend setting your monitor to thousands or millions of colors.

3. Download the Macintosh 68k PhotoBubble Viewer .

Note: You must have Stuffit Expander, or an equivalent BinHex converter to translate BUBVU68K.HQX. Stuffit Expander will create a folder BubViewer68k which contains the BubViewer68k application.

4.1 Now you are ready to setup your browser. NOTE: If you are using AOL, skip ahead to step 4.2.

The directions for setting the Preferences in Netscape are below. The procedure is similar for other Web browsers.

a. Choose General Preferences from the Options menu.

b. In the Preferences:General Window choose the Helpers tab.

c. Click on the New button.

d. On the Mime Type command line, type: application. On the Mime SubType command line type: photobubble.

e. Click Ok.

f. In the Preferences:General Window menu, type bub as the extension.

g. Next to Action: click Launch Application

h. Click the Browse button located next to Application.

i. Go to the BubViewer68k folder and select BubViewer68k. Click OK.

j. BubViewer68k should now be listed as the Application for the file type application/photobubble.

k. Click OK.

Your browser is now configured for the PhotoBubble Viewer. When you click on a PhotoBubble the Viewer will automatically launch. If the application does not launch when you download a bubble go back to the helpers window and verify that the file type is set correctly.

4.2 For AOL users only:

a. Go to the web page containing the PhotoBubbles you would like to view. Click on a PhotoBubble.

b. The first time you try to view a PhotoBubble in AOL, a prompt will ask you if you would like to configure a viewer. Click yes.

c. Locate the BubViewer68k folder and select BubViewer68k. Click OK.

Now each time you click on a PhotoBubble, AOL will automatically launch the Viewer.

You are now ready to view the PhotoBubble of the Main Hall.
