More Information on VR Disney World

First, don't be fooled by the fact that there are only three links to click on the main page- there's LOTS of stuff in there. Just like in real-world, you have to enter the parks through the main entrance and then go from there.

As noted, the scenes are not extremely elaborate. They could be more so, but that might result in some people not being able to view them very well. I'm not sure what's the minimum processor needed to view VR Disney World, just that it works "satisfactorily" on a Pentium 200 w/48 Meg RAM. (Tip: If full-screen does not work well for you, try reducing your browser window to half-size) So, I kept certain things- like landscaping- to a bare minimum. Also, many of the buildings/objects are not "textured" because that requires graphics files, and so those buildings/objects will appear as a solid color.

The files were first created using the fairly basic Internet Space Builder program, then I added the animation/etc. that can't be done with ISB using a sort of vrml-ized Notepad called VrmlPad. Everything is tested with the Cosmo Player and Cortona plug-ins. Note: Its possible you could encounter a problem even if using Cosmo Player or Cortona (because nearly everyone's computer set-up is a little different) but hopefully that'd be very rare.

In addition to the main areas, there are currently five working rides (Click for screen shots)- Peter Pan's Flight (M.K.,Fantasyland), Space Mountain (M.K.,Tomorrowland), Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin* (M.K.,Tomorrowland), the Sea Cabs (EPCOT,The Living Seas), and the newest one: the Tower of Terror (Disney-MGM,Sunset Blvd). When you click on the sign/door for these rides, it will take you "inside" and place you on the ride. There will be a start button of some kind that you click to begin the ride (except Sea Cabs and Tower of Terror which begin automatically when you board your ride vehicle), and an exit button to go back "outside" to where you were.
*Cortona users: The sort-of annoying Cortona Console pops up with this ride (there is no error, I suppose it pops up just because there is a javascript). You'll need to either Minimize it, or better yet close it then 'Right Click' on the screen, click on 'Preferences', then choose the 'Always Hide' console mode option.

Currently in 'Imagineering'- The Rock 'n Roller Coaster ride.

Anyways, I hope folks will take a look and have fun.

Thanks!
